Looking southwest towards 25 to 29 Wellesley St E, just east of Yonge St in the Church-Wellesley neighbourhood of Toronto.

All three buildings still stand today. At 25 Wellesley St E is what was originally called the New York Apartments, which opened in the early 1980s.

The yellow brick building in the centre, located at 27 Wellesley St E, is historically known as Somerset House and was built in 1873. In the archive photo, it was home to The Jack Russell restaurant. More recently, it served as a Fox and Fiddle, which closed this location on December 31, 2024.

The house on the left at 29 Wellesley St E was home to medical offices in the vintage photo. Today, it operates as a hotel.
