The archive photo shows a newsstand at the southeast corner. The stand offered a variety of publications, including the Toronto Evening Telegram, Daily Star, and Star Weekly, among others.
In both photos, the structure located in the left foreground was constructed for the Canadian Pacific Railway during the period of 1911 to 1913. The building situated in the background was built for the Royal Bank of Canada between 1913 and 1915. Both buildings have received heritage status from the city, showing their historical value.
