The archive photo captures the streetscape showing pedestrians, horse-drawn wagons and an automobile passing by the shops and buildings along the street.
Although the scene looks very different today, some of the buildings in the vintage photo, many of which were constructed in the 1860s and 1870s, still stand. One notable example is the building at 502-504 Yonge St, which once housed Haynes Press and John Klees Provisions, as shown in the archive photo. Today, this location is home to Shroomyz and Milano Nails & Spa.
