The archive photo showcases various shops and businesses along Yonge St, with Sam the Record Man featured in the left foreground. This iconic music store operated from this location from the early 1960s until 2007. Today, the corner is the site of the Toronto Metropolitan University Sheldon & Tracy Levy Student Learning Centre. Two of Sam’s restored neon spinning record signs can be found atop a building at 277 Victoria St.
