Looking east towards the corner of Yonge St and Gerrard St E in the Downtown Yonge area of Toronto.
The archive photo shows the structure that once occupied the corner. By 1951, it had been replaced by the current building, which was initially the Biltmore Savoy Theatre. It later became known as the Coronet Theatre. After closing its doors in 1983, the theatre space was converted into commercial shops. As of 2025, the building is vacant, with plans for a mixed-use development on the site.
