Looking northeast towards the corner of Yonge St and Gerrard St E, in the Downtown Yonge area of Toronto.
The archive photo shows the structure that once stood at the corner. By 1951, it was replaced by the present-day building, which was originally the Biltmore Savoy Theatre. It later became known as the Coronet Theatre, and after closing its doors in 1983, the space was transformed into commercial shops. As of 2025, the building is vacant, with plans for a mixed-use development on the site.
