Looking southwest along King St W from Spadina Ave in the Fashion District of Toronto.
The architecture along the streetscape is relatively similar in the two photos. The archive photo shows a CIBC branch in the corner storefront of the Samuel Building on the left, while today it houses a TD branch. The vintage photo also shows the Spadina Hotel on the right. Constructed in 1875, it was originally called the Richardson House. Currently, this space serves as a restaurant.
