Looking northwest towards the corner of King St E at Bright St, in the Corktown neighbourhood of Toronto.
Built in 1902/03, the church was initially known as the King Street East Methodist Church. Various items, including coins and newspapers, were placed underneath the cornerstone laid by Chester Massey, the son of industrialist and philanthropist Hart Massey, who founded Massey Hall. The church later went by other names, including Redemption Tidings Tabernacle, as shown in the archive photo.
The heritage-designated building presently serves as the Riverside Evangelical Missionary Church.
