Looking west towards the intersection of Richmond St W and Peter St, in the Entertainment District and Wellington Place neighbourhood of Toronto.
The four-storey industrial building was constructed circa 1910. According to the Toronto City Directory, this structure was a George Weston Ltd factory from 1911 until 1963. Subsequently, from 1964 to 1977, the facility was utilized by Kambly, a Swiss commercial bakery specializing in biscuit manufacturing, as shown in the archive photo. After this period, the space accommodated various other businesses.
In the mid-2010s, this heritage-designated building, located at 134 Peter St, underwent a restoration and was integrated into the Queen-Richmond Centre West (QRC West). It is also home to Ricarda’s Restaurant.
