The archive photo shows a postal pillar box (mailbox) featuring advertisements for Taylor’s Soap and a motor repair shop. In the background on the right of the vintage photo, Bowles Lunch is visible, while the building with the arched entrance on the left is the Colonial Theatre. Since the late 1960s, this corner has been the site of the Simpson Tower.
