Looking southeast towards the corner of Parliament St and Shuter St, in the Moss Park neighbourhood of Toronto.
All the buildings at the corner still stand today, but the one located directly at the corner is particularly notable. This Second Empire-style building was constructed around 1874. The corner storefront originally housed John Forester’s grocery store, while the adjacent storefront to the south was occupied by Patrick Haley’s butcher shop. In 1973, the building was added to the city’s heritage register.
