Our Lady of Sorrows Church – Built in 1940

Our Lady of Sorrows Parish is located at 3053 Bloor St W (at Cliveden Ave on the southwest corner, just west of Royal York Rd) in The Kingsway and Sunnylea neighbourhoods of Toronto.

Built in 1940, architect James Haffa designed the Roman Catholic church. The first service was held on November 17, 1940; however, the church officially opened the following month.

2021 – The entrance of Our Lady of Sorrows Church at 3053 Bloor St W. The dramatic bronze doors were created by Italian sculptor Ernesto Lamagna and installed in 2016. They depict St Michael the Archangel conquering evil, along with the Latin words "Quis ut Deus" (meaning "Who is God"). Other architectural highlights of the entrance include intricate stone carvings and a mosaic tile illustration
