Mount Pleasant Theatre, originally the Hudson

Mount Pleasant Theatre, originally Hudson Theatre, was once located at 675 Mt Pleasant Rd (between Soudan Ave and Hillsdale Ave E on the east side) in the Davisville Village neighbourhood of Toronto.

Opening as the Hudson in the late-1920s, architect La Marque designed the theatre. The movie house was renamed in the late-1940s Mount Pleasant Theatre.

The building received heritage status from the City of Toronto in 2017. The theatre closed a few years later and is home to The Father’s House Family Worship Centre today.
