The Manulife Building is located at 200 Bloor St E in Toronto’s Yorkville neighbourhood. Constructed between 1924 and 1925, this structure, originally named the Manufacturers’ Life Insurance Company Building, was designed by architects Sproatt & Rolph, with later enhancements by Marani & Morris.
Manufacturers Life was founded in 1887 at a small shop on 38 King St E. As the company grew, it moved to a more spacious location on Bloor St E in 1925. This impressive heritage-designated building, clad in grey stone, features a colonnaded porch at the main entrance.
