Looking northwest from Dufferin St just south of Bloor St W in the Brockton Village neighbourhood of Toronto.
Kent Senior Public School, situated at 980 Dufferin Street, was established in 1907 and designed in the Edwardian Classical architectural style by architect C.H. Bishop. The institution welcomed students the following year and was named in honour of Herbert A. E. Kent, a trustee for the Toronto school board, for twenty-one years.
The school was closed in 2012 due to declining enrollment and was declared surplus in 2016 before being sold to developers. In 2020, the building received heritage designation from the city. Currently, the site is undergoing redevelopment into a mixed-use project known as the Marlow, which will incorporate the historic Kent Public School.
