Granada Theatre, originally Model Theatre – Once in Greektown

Granada Theatre, originally Model, was once located at 413-417 Danforth Ave (west of Logan Ave on the south side) in Toronto’s Riverdale/Greektown neighbourhood.

The movie house began as Model Theatre at this location in the early 1920s. By the mid-1930s, it had been renamed Granada and closed in the late-1950s. Today, the former theatre building is home to a restaurant.

In my research, I found a Model Theatre located at 181 Danforth Ave from around 1914 until the early 1920s; however, I could not confirm if the two Model theatres were related.
