Looking southeast towards the Gelber Building located at 217-225 Richmond St W and Duncan St in Toronto’s downtown core. The building was built in two phases in 1910 and 1920, and initially served as the headquarters for the Imperial Clothing Company and Gelber Brothers Woollens, founded by Moses and Louis Gelber. It was added to the city’s heritage register in 2017.
The ghost sign was restored in 2020 and says “Gelber Bros. Limited Wholesale Woolens and Dress Goods.” Today, the building is home to commercial and office space.
