Family Theatre, later Lake, was once located at 2173-75 Queen St E (east of Lee Ave on the south side) in The Beaches neighbourhood of Toronto.
Opening in the mid-1910s, the 576-seat Family Theatre featured an auditorium, orchestra area and exterior ticket booth. It was advertised as the “Home of Ideal Entertainment.” In the early-1950s, it was renamed Lake Theatre and closed a few years later. Today the Royal Bank occupies the site of the theatre.
