Looking southeast towards the corner of Church St and Shuter St in the Garden District of Toronto.
The vintage postcard captures the former Hotel Elliott, built in the late 1880s and originally called the Elliott House. In 1960, it was renamed the Hotel Carson. Tragically, the establishment was destroyed by a fire in 1961. After its destruction, the site was transformed into a parking lot. Today, a modern mixed-use building occupies the corner.
