The archive photo shows the Edgewater Hotel, which was built in 1939. In the mid-1990s, it became the Royal Princess Hotel, followed by a Days Inn, then a Howard Johnson. Since 2020, it has been operating as the Hotel Shelter in partnership with the City of Toronto.
