The archive image shows streetcar track construction along with industrial buildings and dwellings on Dundas St W. Notably, the building on the left housed the Ideal Aluminum Products Limited factory, which specialized in the production of aluminum cooking utensils, as indicated by a visible ghost sign in the present-day photo. This old factory has since been repurposed into a mixed-use space for both living and working, now recognized as the Dundas West Arts Building.
