The Duane’s terrazzo storefront entryway was once located at 169 Roncesvalles Ave (between Fern Ave and Garden Ave) in the Parkdale and Roncesvalles neighbourhoods of Toronto.
The storefront entrance originally featured a warm pink terrazzo apron that displayed the name “Duane’s” in striking gold lettering. Duane’s was a women’s shoe store that served the community from 1950 until the mid-1960s. While the character-defining terrazzo floor leading to the storefront entrance on the left has been removed, the terrazzo entrance on the right front side of the building still remains.
