The Dessau’s terrazzo storefront entryway is located at 1230 Bloor St W (between Dufferin St and Lansdowne Ave) in the Bloordale Village neighbourhood of Toronto.
At the entrance of what is today Blue Collar Bakery, the remnants of the terrazzo floor were recently uncovered, revealing the letters “DES” in black against a cream and pink background. In the late 1930s, Samuel Dessau began operating Dessau’s Ladies’ Wear from the storefront. The clothing shop later had various owners and closed in the mid-1970s.
