Columbia Hotel – Once in Beaconsfield Village

Posted:

The Columbia Hotel was once located at 2 Ossington Ave (at Queen St W, on the northwest corner) in the Beaconsfield Village neighbourhood of Toronto.

The Toronto City Directory has the hotel first listed in the 1935 publication. The Columbia Hotel was also a tavern and, in the 1970s, featured live entertainment in Jo-Jo’s Tilton Hilton Room.

The hotel building was taken down in 2009 and replaced with the present-day mixed-use structure.
