Looking east on College St from Spadina Ave in the Discovery District of Toronto.
The four-storey brown-brick building on the left side of both photos was constructed in 1930 and designed by architect Benjamin Brown. The ground floor originally housed six retail stores, while dental suites and offices occupied the upper floors. Over the years, the building has been home to various businesses, including Tip Top Tailors, as shown in the archive photo. Today, it continues to host a variety of businesses.
Notice the sign on the right side of the old photo for “H. Eisen Back Co. Ltd. – The Burlap Bag Products Ltd. – Jackson Bags”.
