The construction of Toronto’s modern City Hall was captured in the archive photo. Its impressive dome measures 46 meters in diameter and reaches a height of 12 meters from the ground to its highest point. The West Tower, standing at 79 meters tall, encompasses 20 floors, while the East Tower, soaring to a height of 99 meters, comprises 27 floors. This iconic structure was officially opened in September 1965 by Governor-General Georges Vanier in front of 14,000 spectators.
