Casa Loma circa 1913 & 2024

The archive photo depicts an aerial view of the stables, potting shed, former greenhouses, and Pellatt Lodge, built in 1905/06. The picture was taken from one of the towers at the castle.

It’s interesting to note that Sir Henry Pellatt and his wife Mary resided at the lodge (in the lower left corner of the photos) while the construction of Casa Loma was underway. It must have been quite an experience for them to oversee the development of such an iconic landmark from their temporary residence.
