The archive photo shows the building when the corner storefront was home to the Canary Restaurant, a local landmark that operated there from 1965 until 2007.
Today, the historic building, with sections dating back to 1859 and 1869, when it served as the Palace Street School, has been restored and is part of a mixed-use condo community known as the Canary House.
