The CAA Theatre is located at 651-653 Yonge St, south of Charles St, in Toronto’s Church-Wellesley neighbourhood.
The archive photo shows the building during its time as the Showcase Cinema. Originally known as the Victoria, the theatre underwent several name changes over the years, including Embassy, Astor, New Yorker, Showcase, Festival and Panasonic. This historic 2½ storey Second Empire-style structure, built in 1912, was granted heritage status by the city in 2016.
