The mansion on the left in both photos is home to The York Club. It was built between 1889 and 1891 and originally served as the residence of George Gooderham, the president of Gooderham & Worts Limited. Architect David Roberts Jr. designed the grand home in the Richardsonian Romanesque style. Since around 1910, it has been the location of The York Club. The mansion was one of 490 buildings on Heritage Toronto’s initial induction list in 1973.
