Looking north up Dufferin St from Bloor St W, in the Bloorcourt and Bloordale Village neighbourhoods of Toronto.
The 1949 Toronto City Directory indicates that the archive photo showcases several businesses, including the Joy Oil Company gas station and the Bell Telephone Company of Canada on the left, while Crushing Drugs is located on the right. Today, the site of the former gas station is now occupied by the TTC Dufferin Subway Station, whereas Bell continues to operate at the same location.
