Bayview Theatre, later Bayview Playhouse – Once in Leaside

Originally Bayview Theatre, later the Bayview Playhouse (live theatre), was once located at 1605 Bayview Ave (two blocks south of Eglinton Ave E on the east side) in the Leaside neighbourhood of Toronto.

Built in 1936, architects Kaplan and Sprachman designed the theatre in the Art Deco style.

In the early 1970s, Godspell ran for 488 performances at the Bayview Playhouse.
