The archive photo captures the period when Elgin Motors was located at the corner. The Ford dealership moved to its new “automobile showplace” in 1961 and remained in operation there until the early 1980s. In 1990, the present-day 18-storey office tower, part of Minto Plaza, opened at 655 Bay St.
