The burst-patterned terrazzo storefront entryway is located at 519 Parliament St (north of Carlton St) in the Cabbagetown neighbourhood of Toronto.
At the entrance of what is today Jet Fuel Coffee, there is a vibrant terrazzo floor featuring a burst pattern in yellow, green, and red that welcomes customers. Historical records from the Toronto City Directory, dating from 1921 to 1946, show that this address was once the location of Philip Sarino’s fruit market. Over the years, the storefront has housed several businesses, including Jordan Wines, Happy Dollar children’s wear, and Mary’s Beauty Salon, before eventually becoming Jet Fuel Coffee Shop in 1992.
