The checkerboard-patterned terrazzo storefront entryway is located at 1252 Bloor St W (between Dufferin St and Lansdowne Ave) in the Bloordale Village neighbourhood of Toronto.
At the entrance of what is today home to the Comfrey Spa, there’s an eye-catching terrazzo floor. It features a design of red and green octagonal shapes with a dark border and cabochons, reminiscent of a bygone era. Historical records from 1939 through the mid-1980s Toronto City Directory show that this address was once the location of the Brown & Shapero Fur Co.
